"Life is inherently meaningful and always connected to a creative spiritual source" Dr. Carl Johan Calleman
Listen to the radio, watch the news on TV, there seems to be an unending list of crises, both local and world-wide. Feelings of helplessness in face of insurmountable problems leads to an increase in stress.
Crazy times?
How do we make sense out of these crazy times? On the world scene, chaos
reigns: the bottom is falling out of the U.S. economy sending world financial
markets into a nosedive; our world leaders ignore the urgency of global warming;
food prices, energy prices and the cost of housing are on the rise; there are an
unprecedented number of refugees on our planet due to both major and minor
global conflicts and natural disasters; poverty is endemic worldwide; even the
weather has become dangerous and unpredictable.
How are you handling these turbulent times? Are you experiencing mood swings, anger, anxiety, depression, feelings of hopelessness? If so, be assured that there is another way. Many of you have heard of the Mayan Calendar with its end-date in 2011---some fear-based interpretations predict this coincides with the end of the world.
However, Dr. Carl Johan Calleman, physical biologist and former cancer expert for the World Health Organization, has decoded the calendar leading to an astonishing revelation: The Mayan Calendar holds the blueprint for the transformation of consciousness. Based on scientific research carried out over more than a ten year period. Dr. Calleman discovered proofs of real events that match the energy shifts of this calendar.
His findings are inspiring, offering concrete steps to align ourselves with the cosmic plan as we evolve towards enlightenment. There is no stopping our spiritual evolution. Just as our bodies and minds are programmed from conception to develop into full adulthood, we are programmed to attain ever higher levels of understanding of who we are and our connectedness to the world. By aligning our conscious awareness with the metaphysical map offered by the Mayan Calendar, we will become co-creators of our own lives, our planet and the universe. Pretty heady stuff. Making sense of world events
What I find liberating about this
new understanding is that it gives meaning to past and present world events.
Using the filter of the Mayan Calendar let us examine present day energy shifts.
Carl Johan Calleman's hypothesis describes nine creation cycles, each
representing one of nine levels of consciousness. Each started at a different
time but all nine underworlds will end on October 28, 2011. Right now we are
experiencing the waning of the Planetary Underworld which began in 1755 and the
full development of the Galactic Underworld which started in 1999.
What are the qualities of each? The Planetary Underworld is characterized by the following: peace as an ideal, the birth of egalitarian democratic ideals, religion experienced as a formal ritual, left-brain dominance, emphasis on material gains: production and consumption, agnostic and aesthetic values, unitary blindfoldedness, Western dominance.
What characterizes the Galactic Underworld: spiritual, right-brain, intuitive, magic, movement against the dominance of material values on our planet, awareness of the existence of a living cosmos, balance between East and West (East taking more predominance), dualistic.
Screaming and kicking
Most of our world leaders are stuck in the
Planetary Underworld while we see a world-wide
people's movement reflecting
Galactic ideals. This new movement rarely gets into mainstream news, controlled
by a Planetary Underworld monopoly. Without going into a long explanation, this
time period is particularly difficult since we are in the Fifth Night year
(Mayans' creation cycle has 7 days and six nights equally the sacred number 13).
The predominant quality of the Fifth Night is Destruction.
We are in a Mayan month (called Uinal) characterized by Challenge.
So the month of Challenge in a
year characterized by Destruction
results in world leaders, both governmental and
corporate, digging in their heels and trying to deny that what they are doing
and have been doing for the past 250 years is not working! But change is
a-coming, in spite of the tendency to want to go back to the old ways.
The choice is yours: you can make it easy or you can go screaming and kicking into the Light! For more on the Mayan calendar, click here.
What can you do right now to make life easier and get yourself more in-tuned?
-
Take time every day to get connected. Use a simple meditation technique. Sit quietly for a few minutes twice each day and focus on your breathing. The inhalation and exhalation and the space in between.
-
Do what you love—some creative activity: singing, painting, dancing, woodworking, beading etc. Explore new methods
-
Get outside in nature every day
-
Spend time with people you love
-
Build community-choose a subject you are passionate about and get involved: there are so many wonderful organizations that would welcome your help; or start your own. Do your part and know that it is enough.
Here are some books to help you get connected and bring more joy into your life:
-
The Power of Now, a Guide to Spiritual Enlightenment by Eckhart Tolle. This is the best book I have ever read on how to live in the present moment. It is practical and never out of date.
-
Why is God Laughing? The Path to Joy and Spiritual Optimism by Deepak Chopra. Dr. Chopra is such a good story teller and shows us why the healthiest response to life is laughter from the heart. Highly recommended.
